The offshore waters of Quepos Costa Rica are home to Black Marlin and Blue Marlin, Gaint Pacific Sailfish, Yellowfin Tuna, Dorado, and Wahoo. It is possible to catch all 5 of these top offshore game fish species in a single day in Quepos waters. All 5 species can also be caught 365 days per year.
Peak deep sea fishing season in Quepos is considered December through April although there is very good fishing all year around. December through April is the time of year when the weather is beautiful and the seas are very calm. It also happens to be peak fishing season for Pacific Sailfish. Our average fishing trip during peak season is an honest 8 to 10 sailfish released per day, plus we catch a few dorados and Yellowfin tuna mixed in with those daily catches. You may read on other sites about 20 to 30 sailfish are released per day. This does happen, but not on a daily basis. We do have a handful of days every season when we release 20 plus sailfish per day, but that is not a normal day to expect on any boat.
One of the most awesome and thrilling moments in all of the sport fishing without a doubt is the “Bait and Switch”. Our most common and most productive method of fishing for Marlin and Sailfish in Costa Rica is the “Bait and Switch”. Using this method is a “topwater in your face adrenalin rush” that can’t be beaten. Our experienced crews are experts in this method and are masters in the techniques of rigging natural baits for pitching or trolling.
I would like to give another one of our many satisfied guests a chance to speak on our behalf. This is what he had to say.
“As a member of the recent Bob Sentinel group, my wife Carol and I want to thank you for a first-class fishing experience and I know we are speaking for our total group
